What I Offer
Treatments that work for your body
Sports, deep tissue and holistic massage, plus assessment-led pain management – 60 or 90 minute sessions at my Haringey treatment room or at your home.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a more focused session, working on particular areas that have become overused or overworked through training. Alongside soft tissue techniques – effleurage, petrissage, frictions and trigger point release – sessions include dynamic and static stretching, tailored to what your body needs on the day.
This is the right treatment if you’re training regularly, managing DOMS after a hard session, or wanting to stay ahead of injury before it starts. Common areas of focus include the lower limbs for runners, upper back and hips for cyclists, and shoulders and thoracic spine for gym athletes.
- Targeted work on overused or fatigued muscle groups
- Dynamic and static stretching included as part of the session
- Effective relief from DOMS and faster recovery
- Identification and treatment of problem areas before they become injuries
“Very experienced and well targeted massage. Had great additional advice for exercises and stretches. Very strong recommendation!!”
– David, Dalston
Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage works on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using slow, sustained pressure and deliberate strokes. It’s particularly effective for chronic tension patterns, postural problems and areas of persistent tightness that won’t resolve on their own.
This is the most common treatment for people who spend long hours at a desk, carry tension in their neck and shoulders, or have a recurring problem that keeps returning. It works well alongside physiotherapy or osteopathy for longer-term musculoskeletal issues.
- Relief from chronic muscle tension and tightness
- Treatment of specific trigger points and referred pain patterns
- Improved posture and movement patterns
- Reduced pain from repetitive strain and overuse
“Ian is a fantastic massage therapist who blends sports science and physical therapy to provide an enjoyable, relaxing massage with an ability to identify and improve problem areas. It’s a relaxing session and full body muscular assessment all in one!”
– Declan, De Beauvoir
Holistic Massage

A full-body massage using longer, flowing strokes to ease muscular tension, improve circulation and calm the nervous system. This is a lighter-pressure treatment focused on the overall sense of ease and recovery rather than addressing specific musculoskeletal problems.
Clients often report better sleep, reduced anxiety and improved energy in the days following treatment. It’s a good choice if you’re under a lot of pressure, feel generally depleted, or simply haven’t given your body any proper attention in a while.
- Reduction in stress hormones and nervous system activation
- Improved circulation and lymphatic drainage
- Better sleep quality
- General sense of physical and mental ease
“Great massage! It was my first time having a massage at home and Ian made it super chill and comfortable. He also really listened to me and focused on my specific stress points. Also just a really fun guy to be around. Would deffo recommend!”
– Zuzanna, Crouch End
Pain Management

A focused, assessment-led treatment for musculoskeletal pain and injury – combining soft tissue work, assisted stretching and joint mobilisation to address the specific cause of your symptoms rather than just the site of the pain.
This is the right treatment for conditions such as sciatica, lower back pain, shoulder impingement and rotator cuff issues, tennis or golfer’s elbow, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, neck pain and whiplash, and muscle strains or tears. I’ll assess your movement and history first, then adapt the treatment to what’s actually driving the problem.
- Targeted treatment of the underlying cause, not just the symptom
- Reduced pain and improved range of movement
- Support for injury rehabilitation alongside physiotherapy
- Practical exercises to manage and prevent recurrence
“Ian is excellent: the only massage therapist I’ve found who can make a difference to my aches and pains, and he’s relaxed and friendly to boot. I see him regularly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.”
– Fay, Stoke Newington
